Easy DIY vase

Happy Monday everyone! I am off today for MLK day, and so is Kevin.  It is amazing how being off on a Monday can affect your mood--I love it! I wanted to share with you all a very easy craft that I made out of wrapping paper, a whiskey metal can, and some floral arrangements.  I started out with some wrapping paper that I bought at Target.  I didn't know what I planned to use it for (I knew not wrapping presents because then I would have to give this beautiful paper away that would then just be thrown away) but knew that I would eventually figure it out. Isn't it beautiful paper...
So I have had it in my closet forever just staring at me until Kevin came home with some bourbon that was stored in a tin/metal can...hmmm....
So I decided to wrap my beautiful paper around the can...

And this is what it became, a black and white vase!
I then went to Z Gallerie after seeing a friend of mine give these black floral arrangement pieces to another friend of mine--I fell in love.

I had to trim them down some, but no problem...then put them in and voila!

I just love it!  It now sits in my entry hallway in my only black and white area of my house.  One day I will have a black and white room, it is my new favorite style...so until then I will just hoard pieces in my tiny entryway...

Love it!!
